Culinary art (traditional dishes):
The most famous traditional Boumerdasi dishes that are cooked on family occasions and celebrations of marriage and success are Al-Shachokha – Couscous – Al-Nama – Al-Gharif -. As for the rest of the days, especially in the winter and with the cold weather, the Qalami women innovate in cooking (sponges – porridge and zira) prepared mainly from flour. As a raw material, it is one of the most commonly used traditional pastes in the state.
